INTRODUCTION

Wex International Limited established in Hong Kong 2004 has been designing and manufacturing Wireless Communication products like Pagers, Decoder boards and other OEM products. In 2017 Wex enters the Wireless Hospital communication Systems with a communication system based on Wi Fi Technology

The research highlights the need for updated communication technologies across the healthcare industry to improve efficiency and allow doctors and other caregivers to spend more of their time focused on the delivery of quality patient care.

According to the study, clinicians waste an average of more than 45 minutes each day due to the use of outdated communication technologies.

The primary reason is the inefficiency of pagers (as cited by 52 percent of survey respondents), followed by the lack of Wi-Fi availability (39 percent), the inadequacy of email (38 percent) and the inability to use text messaging (36 percent).

Clinicians estimate that 45 percent of their time—or about 27 minutes for every hour—is spent with patients while the remaining 55 percent is spent communicating and collaborating with other clinicians, or using electronic medical records and other clinical IT systems.

While healthcare organizations seem to recognize the challenges, there is still a significant amount of work to be done, especially in replacing pagers and other inefficient communication systems with more modern technologies such as smartphones and secure text messaging. We believe research like this provides valuable insight as healthcare organizations shape their healthcare IT, communications and security strategies.

 

Company provided smartphones are expensive. Nowadays Apps are provided to use on smartphones in hospitals for patient monitoring, patient/nurse, doctor/nurse communications and other applications/monitoring.

 

Many staffs are reluctant and feel uneasy to use their personal smartphone for in-house usage in hospitals. They feel their privacy and personal data may be compromised.

 

Keeping in mind all the points mentioned above in the survey, we at Wex have developed a unique WI FI Device which can be used for Voice and text messaging.

Wi-Fi SMARTCOM Device-Model 9010

The WI FI device is specially designed for the instant communication. It has a larger high luminance LED in top for incoming message alert. The user interface is also fits the application, not just one APP in the smartphone. The Group call function can let people chat or send voice message.
Also the department can set different Groupcall address to suit different requirements.
With this device, user can also view the picture, read PDF file or other text file like word. Different kinds alert setting can let user easy to identify emergence message or normal message. Another great function is when user sends the message, he will have the message reached notification and  message read notification.
